Litter September 2005
On July 5, 2005 we got the telephone call of the owners of Gail that she finally had started her season. While Marjolein and Jelmer themselves were expecting their first baby who was planned to be born beginning of August, they had asked us to breed and raise this litter, and ofcourse we could not say no. Already on July 7, their little girl Danique has been born, so a perfect planning for everybody.
After a few days carefull practising (it was just the first time for our Flash), he managed to do a proper mating, followed by a tie, on July 15, 2005. The mating has been repeated for several times the following days, so total we have now 5 succesful matings and ties. Counting from the first mating, the expected delivery date will be around September 16, 2005.
In about 4 weeks, we will have an ultrasound made to see if we can indeed look forward to the pups from this fantastic combination.
Watch this page carefully, we will keep you updated!.
On August 15, 2005 (day 31 counted from the first mating) Jelmer took Gail to a visit at the vet for an ultrasound. According to both Marjolein and Jelmer there was no doubt of her being pregnant and yes, after shaving her belly and putting the machine on it, they could easily find several sacks filled with a little puppy. So no doubt about it, in 5 weeks from now we will welcome the new children of Gail .
Six weeks pregnant
Last two weeks
Counting from the first mating, it will only take 2 more weeks before Gail will give birth to her second litter. Next week she will come to live with us, to prepare herself perfectly for the delivery. She is really getting heavy now: she does not want to walk for long distances anymore and prefers to sleep almost whole day.
At this moment Gail is already living with us and we were in shock seeing her and her extreme big belly! She has taken place in her own litterbox and puppyren so she can feel at home easily. We will now also start taking her temperature everyday so we hope to predict a little bit when the delivery will start.
