Perfectly on time, our Rebel (Nice of you to Come Bye Redwick Rebel: pictures) started her season just after Christmas. We have been thinking for a short moment wether we would have her mated this time or not, but also based on her age, we knew for sure this is the perfect timing for her final litter. We are over the moon when we were allowed to use our dream boy from Denmark again for a mating: Ziggy. After twice bloodtesting, we were told on New Years Eve to drive up the next day for a mating and so we did. Early in the morning on New Years day we left for a long trip, where soon after arrival Ziggy did a perfect job. The next day they have repeated their trick so we could leave Denmark with a happy and joyfull feeling. This is for all of us the best way to start a new year!
If nature together with Rebel does her best, we hope to welcome this colourfull and very active/sportive litter around March 5, 2013. For us this is more than exciting, while we have decided one of the little ones will be staying with us!
Rebel was obviously even more cuddly than normal (we did not know that was even possible), needed to go outside more often and even started to gain weight a little. So we had really no doubt she would be pregnant for sure. We were very surprised thet vet needed to search to even find some little embryos inside her belly. Unfortunately this means we will welcome only a very small litter but ofcourse still very much wanted! At this moment we already need to turn a lot of people down wanting a puppy from this final litter and we cannot take any more enquiries!
